FAMOUS SONGS

Note: The following comes courtesy of the ITRANS SONG BOOK (ISB), which is a hugh collection of songs in various Indian languages. To overcome the obvious problems with the different scripts, the transliteration scheme ITRANS was developed.

The great thing about ITRANS is, that you can read it even without converting it beforehand and at the same time you can use special tools to convert it back into Devanagari or other major scripts.

If you want to know more, please refer to the RMIM FAQ which is a fantastic source for anything related to Indian music. Also if you are using DOS/Windows, you might want to try out JAADOO, which is a simple text processor capable of Devanagari (WYTIIWYSID - What You Type Is ITRANS, What You See Is Devanagari)...

Oh? Not a single entry? Well, let's hope for the next update!
